Han University of Traditional Medicine (formerly the Asian Institute of Medical
Studies) celebrates both Confucius’ Birthday and the opening of the University of
Arizona’s spacious new 7500 sq. ft. educational and clinic facilities at 2856 E. Fort
Lowell Road in Tucson, Arizona.  The event will take place at the new location on
Saturday, September 28, from 12-4pm.
At Han University we believe that Chinese Medicine is destined to become an
important part of medical care in the United States and the rest of the Western
world. Han University is on the cutting edge of forging partnerships between
Chinese Medicine and mainstream medical care. This will result in Traditional
Chinese Medicine (TCM) becoming more influential in healthcare worldwide. Han
University has developed strong ties with several local Western medical institutions,
including Dr. Andrew Weil’s Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of
Arizona. We also provide care to the southern Arizona community through our clinic
and are committed to educating our nation’s future Traditional Chinese Medicine
practitioners. Han University is dedicated to bringing the spirit of TCM to the
Tucson community.
Han University is pleased to partner with the Confucius Institute at the University
of Arizona. The Confucius Institute was developed as way to bridge east/west
cultures and is dedicated to introducing the core cultural arts of China to the greater
community of Tucson. This is done annually through events that highlight the
diverse beauty and skills of the Chinese people. Chinese Medicine is one such art.
Together, Han University and the Confucius Institute are creating a partnership that
will be influential worldwide. We envision a time when Chinese Medicine will not be
“alternative” to but will stand alongside Western Medicine in its rightful place.
