THIRD ELEMENTARY LONG FIST (CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS)

In this course, students will learn The Third Elementary Long Fist, one of the traditional martial arts in China. Its techniques include many Chinese martial arts basic skills, including hand forms, such as fist, palm, hook hand as well as leg forms, like horse riding step, bow step, crouch step, and so on. Students will not only learn about forms and movements of different martial arts styles, but will also develop a deep understanding of martial arts theory and its relationship to health and fitness. The instructor will teach students step by step, improving martial arts skills and students will have the opportunity to participate in local performances.

When attending this class, please wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing.

SHAOLIN QUAN

Chinese traditional practices of well-being led to the creation of this centuries-old practice combining martial arts and mind-body wellness. Smooth, flowing motions throughout space allow practitioners to master their ability to peacefully and effortlessly move & redirect energy. Students will learn Tai-Chi (Taiji Quan) essential techniques, Chen style Tai-Chi old frame routine 2.

Chinese traditional practices of well-being created this centuries-old practice combining martial arts and mind-body wellness. Students will learn Chen Tai-Chi quan essential techniques, Chen style Tai-Chi sword 49 form and Qigong form as well.

Tai Chi, Qigong for Health & Happiness

All levels of adult learners are welcome to join UA Professor Zhao Chen from Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health & Master Xintuo Zhang from Shaolin China in this unique journey of enriched life experience through gentle mind-body exercises and public health seminars.
