CIUA Event Date:
Who: 1. American citizens/US passport holders, in good health and capable for international travelling.
2. Grade 8-12 high school students, (including 12th grader who are graduating this summer or 8th grader who will be in 9th grade in August 2014)
3. Interests in the Chinese language and culture. Native language is non-Chinese with some Chinese learning background, have studied Chinese for no more than 3 years. Students are encouraged to take CIUA “Chinese Star” Summer Camp in Tucson (June 2-13) to prepare them for the trip.
Where: The cities and environs of Beijing, Zhengzhou, Xi’an and Chongqing etc. China
When: July 2nd –August 1st, 2014
Cost: Participants are required to pay their own round-trip international air ticket costs, international travel insurance as well as passport and visa fees. The Hanban will cover the costs of accommodation, in-country transportation and activities for students and chaperons in China.
